After a devestating lost to Bobbi P in Wms Sngls 5-7 game 3, 2nd set, I brought what little fight I had left to our Wms Dbs match against who...? Bobbi N Val !! I struggled to shoot on Bobbi, she blocked me very very well, every ball seemed like an eternity...I had it a lot and Amber blocked it a lot. Next thing you know we lost and are heading towards the second set. We switched sides (I liked the other side better) I can only imagine what Amber is thinking... A second AGAIN???? HELL NO!!! I AIN"T GOING DOWN LIKE THAT!!!
I whispered in Amber's ear, do you remember what we did the first time we played them? Let's play like that, patient & precise....
Amber set up the ball and BAM... in goes a shot!! and then another... then she rushingly hit it out, and it came back to her, she took a breath, set up the ball and BAM another shot!!! then Four, then Five!! Yes, thats right Five from the back, Game 1.
Game two they switched sides, we lost.
Back on the good side, Game three. Amber playing good on this side gave me that last little umph I needed to continue fighting, I broke out my rollover (because nothing else was working) and scored a couple, Amber scored a couple, finished it off w/ a stuff, it was so close!
We finally won our first together 5-3 game three, 2 set. I would have not been able to say that, if it were not for Amber being my partner.
