Don't forget this weekend is a BYP on Friday at Strikers (3/28/2008). Paul S. and I are playing, who else is teaming up? Also, it looks like our World Champion friend from Wisconsin (Jeff Kimmerling) will be down this weekend too. It should be a good one!

Hey Guys,

From what I saw last night, for you two, I would just recommend coming early to warm up and switch more often, even playing "roto".

For what its worth, I have noticed you, Moose, get comfortable back in nets after a few blocks & passes, and Tony gets comfortable up front. I like the front-back switches to see what the opposing goalkeepers are giving up for holes, especially after they adjust if they've been scored on earlier. Lets you see the defensive 5 series a bit better, too for when you next go up front.

I confess that I myself get too comfortable in back too often, and even up front sometimes. It's almost as if forcing oneself to think and want to switch positions keeps one from sleeping on a pass or giving up a dink or rebound slap shot from the five. Makes it kind of like a rotation in basketball or hockey... it forces change constantly, but at your pace.

Mi dos centimos...

I agree Brian I get lazy when I play front all night that is why I like to play with another forward so we can switch. We will being doing that a lot.

You should play front more you have the skills my brother.

That was fun last night.

Thanks to Dave "Daybah" Lee, for working with me last Friday and really "edging" with a central zone to protect against Jeff Kimmerling's shots. And to pass 7-9 times a game through Brian C, not to mention scoring 3-4 set snakes each game against Jeff Kimmerling... that was worth the admission. Another believer in the zone. Don't know if any other team played better against them. I just wish I'd held onto three or four of those Jeff K. shots instead of blocking them into Brian C's deadly 3bar.

Tough games... tough teams... was it you Mark that hooked up Brian C and Jeff together? That was a great team to go up against, as good as your team always is, of course... And Quincy playing nets for John, as usual came up with his monstrous nuclear freeballing bombs from the back. That was a harrowing game, kinda like being inside a pachinko game and being at the bottom.

But meatball, especially multiple ones in a row, is what its all about. Perform admirably, win or lose, under those situations, and it makes it all worthwhile.
