Foosers:
I’d like to take this opportunity on behalf of Lumpys and myself to thank all the foosball players, families, and friends for supporting and participating in another successful Qualifier Foosball season. We have confirmed the dates for our Qualifier Finals Weekend Tournaments; these dates are March 21-23. Watch for upcoming flyers. Hope to see you all at Lumpys on the road to the Hall of Fame Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In preparation for the upcoming 2008/2009 Qualifier Season I’d like to invite all players to a players meeting to be held at Lumpys on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. At this meeting I would like to introduce the UFPC (Utah Foosball Players’ Committee) or whatever name you, the players, would like to call our committee, voted on by the players.
At this meeting I would like to establish and form a committee that would help, not only in the upcoming season, but would help our Utah Foosball build and grow stronger as a whole. Not only in our SLC area, but also our fellow foosers and friends in the northern and southern area of Utah. I really believe we can all help each other grow as a whole for the same common goal of foosball in Utah.
At this meeting I’d like to establish positions that would help in different areas of our foosball. These positions would consist of, but not limited to (see positions). If you are interested in one of these positions, or would like to suggest a position, or would like to nominate somebody to a position, please come to the meeting. Please note all of these positions will be voted on in a professional manner by the foosball players. So hope to see you all here March 7 at 6:30 p.m.

PROPOSED POSITIONS:
1. Tournament Director/Chair Person - Coordinate with Lumpys, Best Distributing, run local tournaments, conduct monthly meetings, share in all duties of committee members, if needed.
2. Vice Director/Vice Chair - Help run local tournaments, sub for Mike, keep point stats, share in all duties of committee, members, if needed.
3. Secretary - Website postings, Email announcements, agenda, informative info.
4. Treasurer - Maintain funds and bank account, treasurer report.
5. Literature/Flyers, etc., local and world - equipment orders (balls, men, etc.), obtain best price.
6. Head Official - Clinics, recruit officials.
7. Activities/Promotions - Info on seeking out beginners, clinics etc.
8. Phone Lines - Check website and respond to any questions or info needed from resources available (keep positive).
