Is Dio also having handicap doubles the same day as the 23rd tournament?

according to the flier, Open doubles is Handicapped Though its not the real points because I should only have to go to 4 like at IFP tourney's, not play as rookie points.

OK gotcha, I didn't see the (handicap) under open doubles. sounds like fun. It's been a while since I've been down to Rudy's,

John, Paul, Mark,

This has got to be a "1500" point team open, right? It never really was a guaranteed $1500 open, which would mean the $1500 less $200 from Rudy's, into $20 total entries per team, would have to have an impossible 65 team signup.

Getting even a great 30 team signup roster, with the 10-team minimum, only means: $ 600 + Rudy's $200 = $ 800 in prize money. A decent 20 team signup would then be a $600. Allowing at least 2 Pro-ProM teams, & another 2 Pro-Am teams, best shot statistically for us would be to get a 4th or 5/6 payout, if any. People were confusing me with "are ya going to the Tampa 1500 or the Orlando $3000 ??".

Of course, if Rudy's matched every 10 team signup with $200, & succeeding addl 5 team signups with $100 each, then a 30 team signup would be a really good $1200!!. I seriously doubt that, though. That 1500 is very very very misleading... who's idea was that?

They could've actually called this the "$1,370.00" Since thats what the prize money adds up to for all four events.

Brian, at first I was confused. I think you read the little flyer that says they'll be having tournaments every saturday and they Mention the 1500 one is the "kick off"

I see how that is confusing, they just didn't write their flyer clear enough I think. So maybe if they are throwing 200 bucks in for this "kick off" maybe the total is actually $1570 then. Who knows. I just wanna play some foosball.

any results posted yet? How many teams? It sounds like it ran late so there must have been a pretty good turnout!

It was a good turnout.. Not enough tables though.

My wife was in the last match of the night. It was the loser bracket final to split with tom yore and mark winker. My wife and Greg Platt whooped Bobby Diaz and Ron King. This finished after 4am so yeah we didn't get to our hotel til 5am. sucked but we had fun.

It was definitely a ton of fun and thanks to Bobby and the Rudy's staff! The new remodel of the bar looked great and it was nice to play at Rudy's again!

Also, Bobby is going to be sending me the charts to post full results up on their NetFoos account. I hope to have the charts from him by next week.

Lets see the results I remember

Semi Pro -
1. G. Platt-P. Podesedlic
2. J. Raymond - J Shigs
3. Rick Ino - Tony Guinn

Open Dbl
1. Tom Yore - Peter Podsedlic
2. Bob Diaz - Scott Ohare
3. Nino Perez - ????
4. Jason Lurie - Mike Yore

Saturday DYP
1. Tom Yore - Peter Podselic
2. G Platt - Jen Bodeiker (sp)
3. Bob Diaz - Ron King

I had a great time at this event. It seemed to show that Tampa hasn't been playing a lot of foosball lately. Now that Diaz is back to running weekly torneys I am sure it will be a different story.
