Hey foosers, the Foosfest in J-ville was a success and I'd like to thank a few people for helping us pull it off.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Mike and Jim at UBC for hosting our event. They bent over backwards to help us pull it all off and they hooked most of our foosers up with some nice freebies.

Next, I want to thank Mark for all his help with the Netfoos tournament software. Any promoters out there who are thinking about using Netfoos to run their tourney should go ahead and do it. Netfoos saved us a TON of work!!!!!!!!!

I also want to thank Cheryl, Jeff K, Jeff M and Pascal for driving up from south FL. Jim, Jamie, Ray, Al, Greg, Josh and Shigs for representing O-town.
Next comes Chris and Cameron B, they joined us with the rest of their family!

Finally, I want to thank the local crew. Especially John W., Rae C. and Tyler T. John and Rae did an awesome job of keeping everything running and organized. Tyler, once again, came through big. He was our primary benefactor and made sure we had everything we needed to pull this shindig off!

Happy New Year to all, and thanks again to everyone who helped make the Foosfest possible!

Keep Foosin', Hugh

P.S. I forgot to thank Alan Cribbs for taking time out of his vacation to stop in and tune up our Bonzini tables for the Bonzini DYP!

Thanks for all the hard work you guys did to make your tournament a success and I'm glad I could be a part of it. I had a great time up there, but I wish I played a little better for my partners... I'll just practice more to do better next time =). It was nice meeting some new people and seeing some old friends as well. Looking forward to next time already!

To all,

I want to personally thank Hugh for all he does for our local players. I met Hugh in July of 2000, and his drive and willingness to give of himself - time, creativity and energy - to better the sport of table soccer has impressed me time and again.

It's now official - the Foos Fest recently held at University Billiard Club raised $1690 for the Hubbard House, Jacksonville's shelter and outreach service for victims of domestic violence. That is a 20% increase from last year's Fall Points Race, a 6 Saturday mini series of tournaments, that raised $1410. Congratulations and thanks are in order for Hugh, Jim and Mike from UBC and to everyone else who helped host a successful and meaningful tournament.

More soon on some other points of interest, and please visit www.JacksonvilleTableSoccer.com for all of the news about our local foos and community involvement efforts.

Take care and thanks for your time..........................Tyler

Thanks Tyler,

I want everyone to know that most of what we do for the community and our attempts to improve the local foos scene wouldn't be possible without the support of MANY people. I've listed most of those people above, but Tyler Tornello is the catalyst for our charity work and Patrick Hudlow has repeatedly produced excellent flyers, as well as the Jax Tablesoccer website.

To foosers (especially promoters) everywhere: CHARITY is the future for foosball. In order to make the game grow, we need to do charity work. This will lead to corporate sponsorships and free advertising. Besides, it's the right thing to do! Find a well known local charity, raise some money and let the press know when you make the donation. Only good things will come from following this path.

Thanks again Tyler, and good luck and good foosin' to everyone.

Ledge, I mean FoosFighter!! What's happening, man?! It's been waaaay too long since we played. I'll have to make my semi-annual appearance sometime soon, eh? Tell Cara I said hello. And thanks for the supportive words.

Remember the Jeb letter I received? I just got another from Charlie Crist and he is now officially caught up on some of our progress, achievements and direction. The UBC event/results is yet another excuse for me to write back to him!

We should roll a table out into the octagon on the dock, and film a mini event that we could record and distribute. Ponder that one...

Take care and be well.

Yes sir. just make sure you let me know when you're coming out and I'll be there. Cara was sorry to miss you and Alan at the tournament, she definitely sends her best wishes and we both think the table on the dock sounds too cool!

I'm actually looking to purchase a boat pretty soon, so we could drive that over to your house for the tournament. Take care bro

O.K.,

From UBC to Pinnacle, NC is exactly 8.5 hours driving time with 1 pit stop.

Talk about a road trip!

UBC looks fantastic!

I got to talk to Jim Dolan for a few minutes and he appears to be a great supporter of foosers. Keep him happy Very Happy

I wish I could have stayed a little longer but work was piling up at home and I had to get back ASAP.

Mark Winker- Sorry we didn't have time to talk, but we'll get together in the near future.

Hugh Wintin- Keep up the good work in maintaining the foosball scene in Jacksonville. Event organizers have a thankless job at times and I want to thank you for giving the Bonzini table exposure in Northern Fl.

Ledge- Sorry I miss you. I was looking forward to a good butt whipping on the Tornado table from you.

How about a tournament next year in Fernandina Beach?
It would be an easy sell for our players in VA,SC and NC for next January.

Tyler- Man, can you believe it's Bonzini U.S.A.'s 10 the year of operation?
Through all of our supporter efforts, we've been able to give foosball a new fresh face and focus. Thanks for your constant efforts and friendship.

Congrats to the JTSPA for their efforts!

Alan,

Thanks for your support, it was great seeing you and I am glad you made it back safely!

Hugh and I are going to do a Bonzini demo at an all day Quigley fund raiser on 1/19, and I'll get you the details.

Take care............................Tyler
