Hey There.

For our DYP we had an odd man out situation so we let someone play twice. When I try to enter this into the system, it won't let me. Is there a way that I can do this? I would rather not have to create two players that are the same person.

Hi Chris, I've updated your account to help test the "X Man" feature (odd man out). When you create your chart now you will see an option at the bottom that has a choice for "Yes (Allow Duplicate Entries)" in a pull down menu -- select this and it will allow you to enter a player twice.

Also, I added your account to the featured account list and your results will now show along with the others on the main pages.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks Mark.

I noticed that there are different chart formats. Is there a list somewhere describing the differences? What is the Tampa chart for example.

Also is it possible to load up are own charts at some point? If we could use this for our league matches that would be great. I am a programmer so I could help with the format coding if you needed it.

Hi Chris,

I started putting together samples of the various charts so that people can see the differences. However, it never fully completed it. At this point the best way to see the differences is to create test tournaments using the various charts to see the differences -- the differences are basically where the losers of the various winner side matches go on the loser side.

For adding new charts, someone like yourself who is a programmer, I'm sure you could be able to add new chart variations. I could give you the standard formats and file samples that the system uses and you could create new versions of the charts. I'm not positive it would work perfectly with the league charts without me updating some things, but it might. Also, I've been looking to add up to 128 team charts, but haven't been able to sit down and do this yet -- if this is something you might want to help with that would be great too.

If you contact my using the NetFoos contact form I'll reply to you with the information to get started and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the follow up, I just got real busy at work and havn't had a chance to get back to yet. I'm working on putting together the info for you and hope to get it to you before I go to the O-Town tournament this weekend (leaving tomorrow afternoon).

Thanks again,
Mark

Hey Chris,

I emailed you some initial info on adding new charts. It may seem a little confusing at first, but it should make sense once you get a chance to see the full picture.

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark,

Would you add the odd man feature to our account also. Whenever you get some free time. Good luck in Vegas.

Mark,

Can I get the ability to enter someone twice? We had an odd man in our latest tournament at Charleston.

Thanks!
