Reminder: 2007 NC State Foosball Championship (Bonzini)

Anything and everything related to foosball

Postby Alan Cribbs on Thu Mar 15, 2007 5:40 am

We've added $500.00 to the Cash and Prize value.

We have 19 table sponsors as of yesterday. I want to thank the Powerkick Executive Committee for their sponsorship drive and tournament support. Without your committment, these events would be just another foosball event. Bonzini U.S.A. applauds your hard work and we look forward to a fun weekend.

There will be a Michelob and Michelob Light St. Patty's Weekend promotion from Budweiser going on with beverage specials the entire weekend.

We have a nice donation going to the V Foundation also.

I'll be setting the tournament room up Thursday morning. We plan on having an unscheduled DYP on Thursday night and watching the NCAA tournament at Fat Daddy's. Will be giving away a few player packages for the NC Open.

Try to make it out to this event if you can. We'll have a pretty large field of competitiors and a few players that will be traveling to France in May for the World Championships.

As with any Bonzini U.S.A. event proper dress is required. We do encourage sports wear in the form of warm-up suits but it is not mandatory. I'm asking the 2006 Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Team to wear their uniforms to give the others an idea how they look and feel while in competition. We expect a good amount of media coverage and attendance from local sponsors so let's look sharpe.

The goals of this event are to raise funds for the V Foundation, compete for titles and prizes and to work together building our organization. We will have extra officials on hand to help answer any questions about the rules transition in Open Singles and Doubles and our Ladies events.

Play will be on the B-90 tables with the heavy legs and leveller set-up. These tables were used at the VA States and received good reveiws from the players.

Look for the tournament poster for this event next week at .

We look forward to seeing everyone for our first event of 2007.
