New Promotion 2007/2008
Creating a player’s association out of thin air is no easy task. Players relate a player association to tournaments so it would be impossible to move forward without a center set to the organization that promotes and represents what player’s are about. To accomplish this goal I am announcing once the sub structure is in place for the new players organization THE WORLD SERIES OF FOOSBALL promotion Slated for 2007/2008. A National fully handicapped DYP format tournaments drawing from 25 local DYP circuit events from which players qualify over seven months to play in the National main event which offers a $20,000 guaranteed first place no entry fee main event tournament. “A tournament anyone can win”. In very general terms if you play and win locally in your DYP you can play and win this one. The main event is little more than a DYP on steroids.
You can throw out everything you have ever learned about tour events. This is unlike anything you have expierenced before.
I am currently writing a players guide along with a promoters guide which explains the promotion in detail and will be available for download in the coming weeks.
This is a stepped promotion focused around the 25 circuit events. The object over the seven months is two fold. The main one is to pull us together by generating members to the new organization. Secondary to this but of equal importance is the very simple rationale if were going to play these DYP’ over and over lets have a rhyme, a reason, and a purpose behind them.
In close, I just want to say this promotion in concept is extremely layered and very textural. In other words, not only will this provide a fairly large National prize fund it will seek to create a player base that is cohesive at the grass roots level. The main event is not the center set but little more than the last tournament with the big carrot.
