So I am guessing, the bar won't offer as much as originally thought.
Oh well. But what I didn't know is there is an Open doubles. Well I guess I need a partner. Anybody interested email me at nickandnat@peoplepc.com.
Personally my first impression isn't to cool about it. We'll have the same cast of characters over and over again. Lee & Mori, Teddy & Steve, probably Scott and Lorraine,. Personally I feel I can compete with anybody on a more level playing field. I know everybody says that they just want to play, and that is true to a point but not if your going to get smoked in 2. It would be to tough with any of the lower skilled players to compete with. And that really hurts the beginners chances of even competing. I wish we could have talked about that ahead of time. (I hope I got these damn names right for once) But Darla and Cassidy have been to every event and I'ld just like to see them get a fairer chance playing with Lee,Mori,Teddy etc... . But only the true beginners should have this chance. Not myself, Mike S., Lorraie etc... . But like seeding the top four or five players and let THE BEGINNERS have a real chance at winning an open event. Just an idea.
I know that the qualifiers is a Pro/Am there really is no reason you can not have 2 Pro/Ams first a bring and second a draw. Basically what I was thinking was doing our own local rankings. The fact that Teddy,Steve, Scott, and myself are amatuers on tour, but is that really fair on a local level. So basically we'll have a hand full of beginner and local amatuers competeing against pros and semi pros, and that is jsut a little to unbalanced. It is probably to late to change anything. But that has never stopped me from opening my over oppinionated big mouth LOL.
Looking forward to being a dragon slayer. Anybody want to join in

Nick,

Thanks for your thoughts, Nick. We're happy to say that Lumpys is/has followed through on everything they agreed to :D and we are ready to go.

We've tried to include a mix of events so there would be a little for everyone, although not perfect with the limited time. We do have an additional pro/am and I think it would be fairer to keep that a draw Pro/Am, rather than a bring Pro/Am. I do hear you on the fairness issues; however, I do feel there should be at least one event that has no restrictions.

Before the end of next season, if you, or anyone for that matter, would like to submit an detailed outline of what you would like to see at the qualifier tournament, that would be really helpful so we can get a clear picture of what is important to you. The season will run from October through February.

Regards,
Lorraine

It would be a lot better if we new our ranking now. From the beginning this has been left up to the director. I am cool with that because that was made clear in the begining. But I think everyone, would like to know were you guys consider each players status. We obviously know were Lee and Steve are, but for myself, R, Scott, Teddy, bubba with the new ELO point system. We are rookies and beginners. And if I cann't play in the rookies I'ld rather stay home and sleep L.O.L. and wait for the Open if I can not enter the rookies. I'll be fine with were ever you place me. You know under the shits or might as well drop out if you draw me or whatever or my favorite you drew Nick well you won't need many quarters, so you can drink a lot more.L.O.L. But seriously it would be a lot easier for some of us to know what to expect.
All in fun this weekend is going to be blast for every body but my partners L.O.L. Nick
