Foosball Qualifier Tournaments are held Tuesdays (See sticky for time) DYP (double draw, double elimination) $5.00 Entry Fee. This tournament runs through the end of February 2008. Handicaps for beginners and amateurs.
Pots will be matched up to 5.00 per player.
$2.00 per player will be added at each weekly tournament to the qualifier finals.
You must play at least eight tournaments to qualifiy for the finals.
FOR THE QUALIFIERS
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places in the final qualifer
Pro-masters and Semi-pro compete for "Player of the Year"
Beginners, Amateurs, & Rookies will compete for "Players of the Year"
Women will also compete for "Women's Player of the Year"
Beginners & Amateurs will receive 1 point spot per game when playing with antoher beginner or amateur or singles against rookies, pros, & semi-pros. Player status will be determined by local point system, Tornado, and at the Tournament Directors' discretion.
Point System is as follows:
1st 10 pts
2nd 7 pts
3rd 5 pts
4th 3 pts
Others 1 pt

Hey how about any of the bar patrons or beginners who play in 1 Saturday night special qualify for the qualifier. My thinking is they'll keep trying, if they know they are in. Personally it can be discouraging to know you have to be there so many times kinda sucks (but understandable).
I know it might a bit much, but what the hell. Like most of my posts it will just cause controversy and confuse the hell out of everyone anyways.

Nick,
Thank you for your ideas and suggestions. Right now we feel like we want follow through on our committment as far as what has been printed. However, before the next season we want to form a voting committee before making any final decisions on how things will be handled. First, we want to set up a meeting to discuss ideas for positions, and then another meeting to vote on who should handle those positions, which may be accepted or declined.
Foosball in SLC deserves professionalism, and Mike and I both feel that there is enough cohesiveness between us and resources that together we can make this happen.
