Hey Mark, Grant!

When any visitor types in www.netfoos.com, they should easily see a button or link to login or register. Or am I missing something?

Why do I have to go to forums, select a thread, then log in to post, and then get bounced out of where I was reading. Then I have to backtrack to the forum and go back in.... what gives???

Your netfoos is still a ton easier than www.ezboard.com, but you could easily make it seamless.....

With all this talk, I probably just missed that button or link or sometink in duh corner.... Shocked Rolling Eyes

Hi Brian,

It might help to think of the “post reply” and “new topic” buttons as a way to login.

The way the forum is designed is for people to just browse around and read various posts and then if they want to “post reply” or add a “new topic” then they just click one of those buttons and start posting. If they are not already logged in it will ask you to login and then after you login you can start typing the reply to the topic you were just on (or post a new topic in the forum you were just on).

It appears you have been going about it a different way which is to navigate to the topic you want to post to and then click the login link. This takes you back to the main forum index and I can imagine it is a real pain. I imagine that other people are doing the same thing so what I did was move and change the “login to post” link to “login to forum” and moved it down to the bottom. That way people will tend to opt for the more convenient “post reply” and “new topic” buttons.

Thanks for your input.

Grant
